Are Gourami'S And Pygmys Compatible?

Hi all

My 55 gal tank has guppies,platies,harleys,corys and pygmys,i've just sold my silvertip tetras to make way for a centre fish,has all the fish tend to hang out around the same place in the tank

I was tempted in getting a blue gourami,can i have one has a single fish(would it be happy)and would it try to eat my pygmys? who tend to hover around the middle of the tank.

Or can someone recommend a centre fish not to large,maybe blue in colour?
The tank has a lot of orange,reds and yellows at the mo

I would love kribs,but i love my cories too much!

I see no reason why the Gourami would be a problem at all. Should work just fine. Maybe if you want a smaller gourami who would have more trouble trying to eat your pygmies, get a Dwarf Gourami if your tank is well established. They come in a powder blue form as well as the usual red orange and silver colour.
