by history i meant the stuff about inbreeding and

i dont agree with the genetic modification that has been carried out to create the strain. Had it not shortened their live span and left them with difficulties then maybe i would approve, but being a huge LB fan ( and out of the 7 tanks i have, the biggest, my 60" is LB !!) i really dont like them.

i don't know anything about this breed, but I think they are quite cute.

They haven't been genetically modified. Fish with these...deformities, I guess you could call it, where inbred and inbred to themselves to get this trait so it was in enough fish to be a type. This inbreeding results in immunity issues, and balance issues, along with a few other things.

I dislike them but dont hate them. They arnt natural.. they arnt supposed to look like that.. To me they look like they are always pregnant but I dont hate them. I rescued some from a lfs a few years ago when it was closing down but they always had swimbladder.. bad batch I think. They ended up dying after a year

With all the fantastic species of mollies running around in Central and North America, I find it hard to be attracted to a balloon molly. I don't hate them, but when I kept mollies, I never kept those. I always kept just your average black molly. I enjoy browsing through some of the more exotic species in my Baensch atlas. Would love to try my hand at those some day.
