Hey guys ...
I am about to purchase a 5ft 20 gallon wall mounted aquarium http://www.aquavistainc.com/products_wallmounted_panoramic.html & wondered if there was a certain angel fish appropriate for the tank, is it possible? & if so ... which kind of angel fish?

Thankyou

It would be fine length and hight but its not wide enough. 6" wont give them enough room to turn once fully grown. 6" wide will really limit your stocking to smaller fish.

Hi as said these tanks are not suitable for any angelfish they get too big. As cool as these tanks are they really really limit which fish you can have and you have to be careful with which you choose. I have to admit I think there are better ways to spend your money..

Can anyone give me a list of what fish i am limited to with the wall mounted tank please?

Thanks again

I had hoped the was a smaller relative of the angel fish family, or anything that resembles the angel fish.

cool aquarium. agree with kizno1 about fish size. angel fish can get big. if you want to put angel fish, u may want to select a smaller species of angel fish or have a larger tank for them in a few years. looks like there is a carbon dioxide generator. this would be great planted tank with tetras or other community fish.

There only really good for small shoaling fish anything that gets over 3" will get to big for your tank IMO.
Maby something like
10 tetras
10 corys
Pair of dwarf cichlids like apisto
Thats about it if im honest. For that kind of money i think you could get a bigger nicer tank that will be able to fit angels in.

The volume of the tank doesnt add up aswell. It says the tank is 58.3" X 6" X 23.6" which works out at 30G but on the widsite it says its only 20G

Thanks ...
The reason why ive been looking at wall mouted aquariums is because i am limited with space.
Alternatively i have looked at a few Tower aquariums. Would angel fish be ok in a 6ft Tower? & can anyone steer me in the right direction for a decent one?

Thanks for a speedy response guys! ... very helpful

What dimensions are they? IMO the min tank size for a angle is 24X12X18"hight although i think 36" long would be better But thats just for a standard rectangle aquarium.

Ok ... im drawn in to having one of these now i know its not possible with a wall mounted aquarium ... http://www.allpondsolutions.co.uk/stainless-steel-acrylic-view-aquarium-1205-0.html Am i ok with angelfish in here?

If you go for the bigger size then yes i think you could get away with a angel in there. A rectangle or square tank would still be best IMO but they hould be fine in there.

Angelfish would be happy in there i'm sure. I hope that comes with someone to come and maintain/clean it for you! It looks like an awful tank to keep clean imo

I think there is constant tradeoff. The cylinder aquarium looks cool, but I don't like cylinder tanks or towers b/c the fish are forced to swim up and down or in circles. I am definitely not a fan of tower aquariums. I had a fan who had one but the problem was getting fish out when it died and sank to bottom. The wall aquarium at least seems to give the angels more room to swim.

Welcome to the forum Heatwave.
As others have already said, an angel is probably a poor choice for that tank. Instead I would be searching for fish with a mature size of less than 3 inches total length or 2 1/2 inches SL. That will reduce your potential fish quite a bit. I love the goodeid group of fish but they seldom get wide acceptance from other fish keepers because they are rather bland in appearance. On the other hand, there are tons of fish that will never grow to more than about 2 1/2 inches in length, 6.5 cm. If you choose fish that are OK with each other and fairly well match your tap water for chemistry, you will have a good starting group to explore. When you think you have found a nice compatible group of fish, why not return here and ask a "how about these guys" question? That way we can do two things. We can get an idea of what you like and suggest alternatives if things don't really fit and we can help you past the compatibility issues you might otherwise face.
