Arcadia Freshwater Lamps

Hey. Are Arcadia Freshwater lamps any good? I want a white light, and i want to bring out the colours of my fish mainly.

Does the Freshwater lamp bring out the colours in the fish well on its own? Thanks everyone.

Its what I use on my nano and seem to be doing great They are one of the tubes suggested in the lighting/EI article so must be! Also got mine from George so that's good enough for me!

Seem to show the colours of my fish up nicely too. I think as a general rule the higher the K rating the whiter the light, but not 100% sure on that.

I already have an interpet triton, so i want somthing to go at the back which will neutralise the pinkish tones of it, it brings out the colours of the fish, Think this bulb will compliment it nicely?

Hi Qays,

I have both Arcadia original tropical (warm) x2 and Arcadia Freshwater (x2) to neutralize the pink hue... ...works great!

Colours on plants and fish are fantastic!

Im just wondering now, wether a 15" fish colour enhancing lamp, will work with the 12" Arcadia freshwater. Since the 12" freshwater tube is smaller!

Sorry missed this post. Seems your having same delema with lights. The Arcadia Freshwater tube in my tank is bright white and causes the cardinal's colours to be very vibrant. 8)

Cool, i will go for an arcadia freshwater bulb then!

But the freshwater will be a smaller lamp than the interpet triton. Will it still neutralise the pink tone?
