Aquidenes Metae (Yellow Acara) Spawning

This pair are last years babies from my breeding pair, I kept these from the last batch as no one wanted them, typically there are male and female and have just spawned! I just love the colouration of these fish, it is a shame they are so rare in the hobby .

Beautiful! I have a pair of Blue Acara, and I would love to have a pair like yours! Too bad no one around here has anything like them...we are SO limited, even in our cichlid specialty shop!

Insane that I cannot get a decent blue acara, I have been on the look out now for ages. I have 6 metae, and the parents of those in the picture have spawned this morning, I might try and raise those.

Where are you star4? I saw a good tank full of nice blue's in a shop near Frome yesterday.

Birmingham Dr Rob. I did buy 4 last year from a shop near me, poor little things all had HITH, cured them of that but they only lasted about 5 months, no matter what I did they just seemed to get sick again.
