About six months ago I was given some Long fin Zebra danios, each day I go into the fish room and see them happily swimming Around in their aquarium waiting to be fed, However I have taken a liking to them although I'm not very keen on long fin fish, So fault It's about time to get them spawning so last week I decided to separate male and females To get them in Good breeding condition, tonight, before the lights are turned off, I will place a pair In a spawning tank

Below, female zebra danio.

I’ve always liked Zebe’s and , like you , never been wild about long finned fish except Betta’s but that’s a nice looking fish . I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that you will have fry soon . Zebra fry are tiny !

They should be kept in cool water (mid to high teens 15-20C) when not breeding otherwise the females can become egg bound. Then for breeding, you increase the temperature to low to mid 20s Celsius.

Separate males and females for 5 days and then put a pair in the breeding tank.
