we need a bit more info here guy! a picture would help, failing that a clear description if the markings and other features of the turtle

Yup little more info, not up on turtles, but are they map turtles? Those are the most common ones I see in lFS near me.

They are round and green in color. I cant get a pic if some one can show me a pic mayeb i can tell.

Can someone Id a plant for me? it has a green stick leading up to a round flower ^_^

Seriously though, we will need more details than they are round and green in colour as that will describe most turles :p

you should research turtles thoroughly, they are very picky and need large tanks/ enclosures. Can you list your equipment aswell?

there are different species of map, there is the cagle (above) and there is also mississippi, and more.

They are false map turtle. I just found them. What to feed and will they grow big. They are green in color.

if you have females that get to 10" then you times this by 40 and this is the water volume needed ( so you need 400l for 1 female). There after, each additional turt times the length by 20 and add this on to the total volume.

you need twice the reccomended filter for the tank (so one for an 800l)

you also need a basking lamp of about 30 - 35C.

docking stations so they can get out of the water.

UVB lighting a minimum of 5.0% better still is 8.0% or 10.0%

The filter needs to be cycled too

have you got all this?

i wish you luck with your turtle, keep us posted.

what this thread does, in my opinion, is highlight, perhaps better than many i have read, just how important research is before you buy, even a fish, never mind something like a turtle.

most people dont realise how big a space a turtle needs, even for a small specie! more research is needed than fish is needed IMO.
