Aquarium Kit Bulb Cooking My Tank!

Yeah I have well water for tap, and I live in the country so there are lots of natural minerals and no chlorine in my H2O

I did another vacuum and 50% water change. Now my readings are
Nitrites/ares- 0
pH - 7.6
Ammonia - 0.25

Now a bunch of my fish have started fighting/nipping at each other! Ugh!!!! I'm going crazy!!!!! :cry:

Doesn't high pH mean that ammonia affects fish even worse..... Thats the thing about well water What filter do you actually have in there anyway? Does it contain any chemical products in it?

I believe it is a standard carbon filter you can pick up at any petshop

and for lords sake... USE TAP WATER!

Well water doesn't neccessarily mean they hand-pumped it out of a well! Not everyone has mains water

But have you tested your water? It's possible it has some ammonia in it. And don't use carbon in your filter unless you're trying to remove medications.
