Hi

I just orded a Aquarianversand needle valve off ebay it says its 1/8" so if i brought the regulator from welduk and toke the outlet nut off will this screw straight in? and is the output of the needle valve then converted to a 6mm airline so i can connect my nutrafin bubble lader?

Yes and yes since they're standard fittings.
I would suggest chucking the bubble ladder in favour or something more useful, a ceramic diffuser for example.

As per Garuf's comments. The Aquarianversan needle valve screwed straight into my disposable regulator off weldUK. Evn if it doesn't it is easy to get adaptors.

Also just like Garuf says. Whyg pay the money for pressurised and then use a ladder? ceramic diffusors are cheap and 10x better than ladders and will therefore save you money in CO2 because the ladder will be less eficient meaning that you have to use more CO2 to reach 30ppm

Output from needle valve to hose etc see below:

How long does a 600g co2 bottle last using this method? I was looking at a glass spiro diffuser from aqua essentials they good?

This is the unanswerable question just like what bubble rate do I require.

Each tank is different and CO2 consumption and therefore injection will depend on tank size, lighting levels, dosing, plant uptake, diffusor efficiency, circulation etc.

Therefore if you had a 20USG low light with slow growers and a good diffusor+circulation then 1 cylinder may last 6+months

If you had a 70USG with high light fast stems and a poor diffusor/circulation 1 cylinder may last <1 month!!!

Therefore it is key that you get a good diffusor and ensure very good circulatin through all areas of the tank or you have to use more CO2 than you need. The rest is set by the plants uptake levels which you control by light, ferts etc.

Example of my tank: 33USG medium light, slow growers, good diffusion and circulation, lean dosing. 1 cylinder lasts 3-4 months.

Never owned a spiro so can't really comment on their efficiency.
