We have had a 20 gallon 24"x12"x15" aquarium for a couple of years now. It is planted and very stable but it was an old tank when we got it and in that time I have replaced the filter and the heater to Fluval models. The lighting hood although working is a bit decrepit and I was thinking of replacing it with a new one which was £60. While mentioning this to my son the other day he said that his mother in law was selling their tank as they had given up on the hobby. I went to have a look at it and it is a next to new looking AquaOne 620 90ltr tank a little bit bigger than our present one but much more modern. Apparently the motor in the filter needs replacing and they want £85 for it including a lot of bits and pieces most of which can be used. I have tried to find a new price on this model but will need to wait until tomorrow to telephone as the nearest supplier to me is approx 25 miles away. Does anyone have any knowledge on these tanks on whether it is a good deal or not?.

For my aquaone 620 I payed about 2-3 hundred australian dollars for a new one.
85£ works out to be about 160$ for a second hand one which needs replacement parts. seeing as there's no major scratches or dings and it looks alright you'll just have to buy a new filter motor which isn't tok expensive. Seems a reasonable offer to me. :)
I really love my aquaone 620. Great little tank and it has a good filter system and reasonable lights. A word of caution though is that the lights are quite strong and in my tank I ended up with lots of algae. I've stopped it now though and the tank is doing well.
