Hi All,

I was thinking of getting a small tank for my bedroom, was browsing through some sites and found the 'Aqualampe Aquarium'

has anyone ever had this tank?

what do you think?

If you had a betta you would need a cover or something because they jump, and also the water would evaporate very quickly... :/

It actually evaporates slower than you'd think. But yea a cover with a betta. Would make a good shrimp tank though.

It's very small. Certainly too small for 5 goldfish, anyways. You can probably keep shrimp, or a single betta, or something.

Yeah, it would definitely not be for goldfish (as in the picture shown!)
Hmm.. Yeah, because I have a red lamp in my room so I came across this 'aqualampe' and it was in red..lol but I will have a think..

Do you think it has a cover? Cant tell in the picture..

Honestly, its a gimmik & no good at all for fishkeeping. If it has a built in lamp that you turn on & of to read & stuff, how the hell do the aquatic organisms develope a rythmic time cycle?

Yes thats true actually..

Why spend that money when I do have an empty 35litre Arcadia Eclipse tank! with a spare heater and fluval u1 filter! maybe I should just set that up again! (from upgrade last year to my rio 125)

I might just set it up again.. :)

This one looks kind of cool though (6G): http://www.seapets.co.uk/products/aquarium-supplies/aquariums/glass-aquariums/betta-aquarium-23-litres.html
