I have just purchased one of these and was wondering if anyone has one and can vouch for it effectiveness.

Basically you attach an air pipe to the bottom right hand side and when the parent gives birth to the fry, they are separated under the trap and along the pipe to their own little nursery away from any danger the parent may pose.

Seems like a great idea and looking forward to testing it out. Just need to find me a guppy who is 'up the duff' :)

Seems like a good idea if you wanna keep the fry safe. Though, do the parents just sit in there forever? Or do you have to catch the mother right when she is birthing and quickly get her over there? Cause livebearers will abort a pregnancy if they get overly stressed correct? Seems like you would be adding more stress there? Seems would be better to just be ready with the net and net the young to a breeding net or something right away...

Ox :good:

I bought a couple this week and set one up yesterday. Have a pregnant guppy in there. I think it's going to work well as bits of food and duck weed have come through into the nursery chamber and not got out again.
