I have three of these skimmers on tanks. I have no problem with the first two. The last one I bought is foaming so much that the foam comes through the hole at the top of the collection cup and truns back to water and drips down the side onto the floor. What is going on here? I can not seem to get it to stop and am at a loss considering, I have had no problems with the others. The unit is level and hooked up properly.

At a loss...HELP!

Hi,

I don't own one of these but, is there not a valve or knob you can turn to reduce the amount of water/air that is put into the chamber?

Is the offending skimmer running on the same tanks as working skimmers? If so, its possible that the tank you're trying to skim has some kind of chemical inside it that's promoting surface tension and thus the formation of microbbubles. Sounds like its either sucking too much air, or the water is too prone to making bubbles. Try running the offending skimmer on a tank that has a successful one running on it to see.

Of course if neither of the above suggestions work, you can always email AquaC and get them to send you a new one...

oh i just remembered, have you tried raising the collection cup?
