Apple Snail

I'm having a problem with one of my goldens that is about 1". Often when I get home I find him floating around and around in circles in the slight current my fliter produces.

Right now I just net him and he will crawl out of the net.

He is in with 2 other apple/mystery snails, 5 platys and a ramshorn snail. Both of the other apple snails look very healthy and are growing quite quickly too. This guy however is the least active and has barely grown since I got him.

So is there anything I can do besides get another type of filter? Should I put him in with my betta in my one gallon? THe betta doesn't mind snails

i just lost my snail same type found him stuck to the heater dead he looked healthy but alas not as much as i thought

It is very strange. As I said it is only ever the one snail.

Oh and he is from petsmart so he may not be the best specimen in the world.

I'm still not sure what was going on but I haven't found her floating in the tank for quite awhile. She seems pretty healthy now.

They often do that.. something to do with having too much air in them..

I always get a little worried when I see mine doing that.. I always wonder if they're dead or just hangin around.
