Will apisto cauca. go well with tetras? if so, which tetras would you suggest or rasboras?

Apisto live with tetra species in the wild and they will get on perfectly, it also means they will require very similar conditions!

Rasboras are in no means out of the question though :)

well, the apistos are getting a corner dedicated to them

i'm in a constant search for various other things, brought another piece of bogwood (flat) with more anubis on, getting frog bit too, gonna build a few things outta slate...........so far, my tank will be a 'thailand meets s.americas'

confusing huh

lol, sounds good :)

Mines a bit like that... Just provide plenty of caves it should do...

I have s.american bolivian rams, apisto. cacatuoides, rummy nose tetra and diamond tetra, and then the random asian kuhli loach :p they all get on well

I noticed in your other thread your pH is 8, didn't want to spam in that... I guess you intend on getting it below 7.5? I'm not sure how sensitive the apisto species you said is but non of them will appreciate 7-7.5+ much..

6 - 8, the breeder i'm getting them from has raised and bred his lot in 8.

researching them, i've come across sites and people saying 6-7, 6-7.5, 7-8.....temps max 25 or 26 or 27.

after speaking to this guy, he's had success, so it shouldn't be a problem.

same with corys, ph differs on diff sites, had no trouble with them

Just make sure when acclimatising fish that you do it over a long time, adding a bit of tank water every 5-10 minutes for about an hour...

could i do it for longer than an hr? just to make sure

You could but I think after the journey and 1 further hour in that bag the fish will want out :)

Agreed, so make sure the bag is covered at all times whilst you're not supervising. I've heard far too many stories of peoples fish doing the swan dive whilst acclimatising.
