I have a 10-g tank with a dwarf gourami, 3 panda cories and a small male guppy. I was told that I could a pair/trio of apistos to this tank, but want to double-check on this. If a full pair/trio is not an option, would a single male be ok?
The tank has a HOB filter rated for a 20g, mixed sand, live plants, a cave, and a piece driftwood. Temp is about 78.
Thank you!

You will struggle with apistos in a 10 gallon tank i think, what species did u have in mind? Apistos are fairly territoral it will probably harass your cories as they are bottom dwelling fish like the apisto, my apisto has claimed over half the tank from the cories and thats in a 29 gallon tank so you might struggle in a 10 gallon, also males get fairly large.

Is it 10 US Gallons or 10 UK Gallons?
you have to remember the US cant count so their Gallon is more than a UK Gallon.

In a tank that small i dont think you should try Apistos with a Gouarmi and Guppies. Why not just get more Guppies and another Gourami (opposite sex)

We can't count, huh?!? LOL
It's a US 10gal. Do you think just a single male apisto (either a cacatoo or agassizi) would be ok there?
The guppy will remain a single... he is only about 1/2-3/4" long (about 8 months old) and when I tried to add a few other males with him he killed them all, and they were twice his size! He's a bada$$ little fish, so he'll stay at a singleton. (He was a baby that was left after my pair had babies and I couldn't catch him.)
I used to have 2 fm with the gourami, but he chased them all the time, though never to mate as he would chase/bite them until they got sores on them. (Goofy little guy!)
Thanks!

It was a sorta joke around the US always chaning things to suit themselves ;)

Pronunciations, spellings etc

No offense taken....
What I hate is the way people have taken to writing the way they text message. That grates on my nerves so bad!! I don't mean just using abbreviations, but the bulk of their writing will look like a 4-yr-old learning how to spell.
Anywho, sorry about the tangent!

Pandas a probably not a good choice for this tank. They often tend to stress easily. I have cockatoos and aggassazi in a 100 usg with peppers and they do fine, but there is lots of room. I also think it is a small tank even though UK gallons for the community you are trying to keep.

Keep the gourami by itself as they are also territorial towards each other, and your tank is too small for a trio. With a pair, the male would harrass the female too much. Furthermore dwarfs are prone to sicknesses caused by stress, so you'd better keep it the way it is now.
