This may be a daft question but are all apisto females the same or are they all different like the males ie agassizzi or cockertoo

They are different though don't know if they all are. Some female species are very similar to other female species though, especially when not in breeding condition.

There are differences, but it can be quite a challenge to tell with some of the species.

I have a trio of agassizzi would a pair of cockatoos cause trouble ? In a 90l tank

When not breeding, a little, when breeding, probably yes.

I wouldnt as the get very territorial when breeding and their would probably be casualties especially in such a small tank.

Personally I wouldnt mix the two the agassizzi males are more agressive than the cacs

Good clean water :) sand substrate, lots of wood and leaf litter and they should get to it :)

Put in a few coconut shell caves as they like to lay their eggs inside these. Put them at oppisite ends of the tank. This will give the females different territories and the male can go between the females and hopefully do the business.
