I just wanted to show a couple of piccies of the gorgeous Killifish I received from BigC - all the way from Ireland ! Thanks so much - they are really lovely little things and seem to be settling well  (I hope ! )

Sorry, they really aren't great pics at all and I just took a few snaps to show you that they have arrived live & kicking (so to speak ;) )

Good to see you got them OK bloozoo. A little tip, subdued lighting (floating plants) and a dark substrate shows them to their best advantage.

Ah okiedokie thanks ! Well the tank they are in have plenty of plants, plenty of wood and no fast big fish. In fact they share their waters with two twig catfish (they hardly ever move  ), 2 Kuhli loaches, 2 tiny molly fry and 2 small bristlenose catfish. That's it really. So I hope they like it :dunno:
It also has a very odd yellow light (which is a dennerle planted light) so not the bright white light. I realise however the poor fish didn't appreciate a flashing camera in it's eye

Oh and I forgot to add, they have a very large wad of floating riccia, though they don't seem to pay much attention to that. Do they require water with a very gentle to no current - I'm a bit worried they might not like the filtration, though it's by no means strong - I think....

I love Killies but they're not often seen for sale in these parts. How long do they live for generally?

That particular species should live for 2-3 years under aquarium conditions.
They are not Annuals, such as the Nothobranchius species.
