Yeah, I would agree that the swordies should be sent to another tank. But i'm not really sure how long they get. The ratio for any Livebearer should always be 1 male to every 3 female since Livebearers are known to breed a lot. So if you want to have fry your going to get another tank anyways I mean your looking at about 5-10 fry that could survive. If you want for the Fry to live without having lots of stress than I would change to a 20-25 gallon. Its all for the better. Try to get a loan from the bank.
