When i describe this to people, they say "shouldnt be a problem, but look out for hole in the head".....that worries me!

So, find below a photo of one of my discus. Look at the mark on her nose! She also has dark speckles- like she is dirty- over her body. One breeder told me this type of discus show these marks more in tanks with stuff in them. If she was in a breeding tank i wouldnt see it.

All the others look fine.

Should i be worried at all?

if it has any part of pigeon blood in it then its just stress. other strains will show bars but pb's show it with black spots.

do you know what the parents of the fish are?

hmm, its a golden leapard snake skin, but dunno about its parents....

I hear the spots are not a worry, but the nose maybe it?!

It might called a " golden leopard" but it looks more like a pigeon leopard because that black specks are part of the pigeon blood strain. It just means one of your fish parents was a pigeon. No need to wory it looks healthy. I had a ghost discus that never had any lines but when stresses would look dirty. But when happy he was pure white.

They tend to get more of this black pigment in the head area. Google some pigeon blood photos.
