hiyaa,

i want in my tank to have two - six fish of the same species in my tank. my tank is a 48ltr. so far i am thinking of having 6 honey and red honey gouramis, (2 males, 3 females) and 5 ottos.

is there any other species i can have in there? i want something not too common, ie platies, livebeares for that matter.

just wondering atm. i think im almost certain that im going for little gouramis but just in case i thought id ask.

thanks x :good:

Hmm, that is just over 10G, if you will be going with the above stock. I would say you were just about full.

Cheers

As an alternative, you could try 6 female Bettas and 6 Corys (loads to choose from but I would say either Adolfoi or Sterbai are the most popular, although Drewry sells Black Corys and they are gorgeous :D)

yes i love corys! i was told on another thread post on another website that my tank was too small for them!

i love the little guys!

right so how about 6 honey and red honey gouramis (now thinking getting all the females hoeny and the 2 males red honey (i believe they are slightly bigger so..) then how many corys would you say? was thinking of getting an albino cory (are they also known as catfish?) and a pepperd cory/catfish.

but how many corys can i have in?

thanks x

you may be able to have cories. what is the foot print of the tank and do you have sand?

what like the measurements of the bottom...hmm, well id say about ... ang on ill get the tape measure out lol id say about 11 inches by 15 inches abouts lol x

I agree with Truck, Pygmy Cories would be better in that size tank. They also need to be kept in a group of 5+.

will try and get some of those, if i cant get hold of any, as iv never seen them in any of my fish shops, would about 2 or 3 normal cory's be ok?

????
