Anyone's Fish Adore Banana Too? What Else?

Not that far from me then. Other shops are fishworld near Coltishall although had mixed results with their fish, they are cheap but you get what you pay for, quaranteen advised for fish from there. A good LFS is HB Aquatics in Norwich, although I did get some whitespot after adding Hatchetfish from there.

If I can I just go to Swallow...it's worth the trip if you have a nice shopping list :) I think they had EBJD's in (didn't last long) so that gives some idea of the good variety of fish they have on offer here and there. The only thing bad I have to say about them is they are very tight and don't believe in sorting out regulars, even when you have bought a £650 tank from them!

I'm getting 6 juvi sevs from Star4, they'll be in a 5fter, almost 400litres. I will keep them until a pair forms and sell on the prob 4-5" sized remaining fish, hopefully covering my initial costs *fingers crossed*

Oscars are greedy aren't they. more so than sevs which is hard to believe. I have to admit my geos are complete greedy guts too, they eat most of the fruit that goes in.

I agree, a list would be good, we should start a new topic where we could edit the first post to include all known food that works that people advise on? Should be just a Central/South American Cichlid topic me thinks :)
I am away from home quite a bit so I am not sure if I would be the best person to keep the topic updated...would you be interested to get the ball rolling? I can contribute quite a bit here and there...

I've been quite lucky *fingers crossed* and not had any bad fish for a long while, although my female Apisto was very weak, and while the male has flourished, unfortunately she passed on. That was Swallow Aquatics Colchester.

Boris is the greediest fish ever, he is just ridiculous. I mean the Sevs and Nic are greedy, but nothing comes close to him. When I get the big bag of pellets out (Hikari Cichlid Staple) he goes absolutely mental wagging/gobbing, it's hilarious  I always give him some of them first to stuff his gob before chucking the smaller pellets in for everyone else, otherwise he just eats them all

I will start that topic later on, better do a w/c in my Betta's tank and clean out the guinea pigs first

Not lost a single fish from Swallow East Hastings, do you think that place is the best of the Swallow bunch?
Just setup my new £50 APC 1000lph filter on my breeding tank and done a 70% water change, another one tomorrow and Sunday and a big 70%er on my 5ft at some point at the weekend too. The new filter isn't as sturdy as my tetratec 1200s but for the money it has a lot of space for media and is fine for my small tank
