Anyone Want To Rant? About Anything? I Do.

Before I start my rant I must point out that I don't believe I'm any better or any worse than the average person. There are quite a few behaviours which I don't like in people and this has got me so angry at the minute.

There's this new family moved in up the hill, the council bought the house they were in so they could put these tennents in there. These people are your stereotypical council estate people whose main ambition in life would be to get on the Jeremy Kyle show.
QUICK NOTE: I have lived in many council estates before we bought this place so as I said in the beginning, I'm no worse or better than anyone else. Doesn't matter where a person comes from to me, its where they're going.

Anyway, let's get back to my rant. They have been forced out of estates in various locations of Northern Ireland by certain paramilitary groups and have now landed here. Our street was nice, quiet and a lot cleaner before these hood rats moved in. They throw rubbish up and down the street, the teenagers of the house have been bullying my next door neighbours wee lad and one of them stole both of our boys bikes, I got them back by the way. I've had numerous run ins with the father of the house who you'd think lives in a wheelie bin by the state of him. Nothing has been done.

There's about 6 boys in that house, two of which are twins and have since been moved into kiddie prison. The rest are various ages up to their twenties. The whole street is angry about these ones living here as there has been nothing but cars up and down the hill, revving the car as much as they can all night and blasting the horn into the early hours of the morning.

I don't know whether to let this carry on or go to the council. God knows what they can do though. Oh and going to the police is not an option as in this part of Northern Ireland people do not go to the police.
Its not the done thing.

None of them work, all claiming every benefit they can, and no intention of getting a job (just for the record, I have nothing against anyone claiming benefits, just those who do and don't do anything about trying to get off benefits)


Right, that's my rant over I think.

Read this back to myself and yes I have rambled but needed to moan to someone.

My rant. I'm a postman and don't understand WHY HAVE SOMETHING SENT SPECIAL DELIVERY WHEN YOU WON'T BE IN!?!?

There are countless options to get your parcel delivered to other locations to suit your needs, or just send it to a friend or relative that will be at home! why waste my time and their own having to make a trip to the delivery office! it grinds my gears!

Oh dear, my rant would be.......... In the last two weeks I have had two packages delivered via royal mail, both times the form said they tried to deliver at 7:30 a.m (my postie never comes before 9:30) I was in both times - I live in a bungalow, dont listen to loud music in the mornings.............. so why oh why did this postie put 7:30 on the card when I know full well he wasn't there at that time

Some post people wind me up, this morning I was waiting for a package, and for a period of 10 minutes (10:50-11) I was listening to music...quite loud I admit, and the postman wrote 8:30 on the card why?!

Political correctness annoys me as well.

@ Micko, I'm just wondering why it's not okay to go to the police? That's why they're there; to serve and protect the people. Do you have really corrupt police there or something? I mean if you can't rely on the police to help you, what's a person to do, strike up an angry mob and run the hoodlums out of town? Actually, that might be a good idea! And you won't have to worry about anyone calling the police

Almost forgot to add a rant. In general, I can't stand it when people can't keep their word. If you say you're going to do something or say you're going to be somewhere, then BY GOD, you better do it or be there! Exceptions of coarse are illness, work, death, etc. Grrr, dislike flaky people!

Its hard to explain. I don't believe it has anything to do with corruption. The police or P.S.N.I (police service of northern Ireland) are there but that's about it. In many parts across the whole of NI police just won't go into certain areas and if they do in some parts then they're not allowed out of the car and if they do enter these said areas to arrest someone then there has to be an army of them. In my part they come and go but they're useless, many people would rather go to the MP or something like that which without getting into a whole religious things would be sorted out in other ways. Not always but quite a lot here that's the case.

All in all, its not as bad as it sounds, there are no people out in their mobs whacking eachother (unless its a religious thing/holiday)

Wow micko, that sounds very complicated, no wonder you're so frustrated! I guess I take for granted the police service where I live. I get ticked off when I've had to call them because they take a long time to show up, (unless it's an emergency)...but at least they show up!! It's bad for the whole neighbourhood when you have a neighbour like that...someone always has to ruin it for the rest

And that's not even my rant!! My rant is against overprivileged, pompous pricks who think they can fart above their butts. Just because they have more money than I do, does NOT make them smarter, better, wiser people than me.

I feel for you Micko. We live in a very quiet neighborhood, EXCEPT for the morons down the street. We call them motorheads here. They own every type of motorized vehicle there is, and run them up and down the street all the time. And they're LOUD.

Then there's the alcoholic and mentally ill neighbor right next door to us who has threatened to kill not only my little dog, but me as well! We put up a nice big fence but he still likes to howl like a wolf when he tips one too many drinks.

Oh I cannot stand people revving anything. There's no need for it.
Everyone gets on ok with eachother on our street, even the teenagers are pleasent apart from these rats. My next door neighbour is great, we get on, talk about gardening, I do odd jobs for him and that's that. We're not in eachothers houses, hes never been in our house after over 10years of us living here. Cannot stand people who you talk to once and they think they'll come in for a tea every day.

Postman, why on earth do we pay for recorded/signed for delivery when the postman just chucks it over the wall & signs himself?

AND...

Why do delivery drivers leave packages (a box worth £500 of customer orders) left in the shed that only has a rock in front of the door as security? So now I have no delivery & 8 moody customers
I didn't put "leave in shed" for a reason - it's cuz things have been stolen recently!

I once had two boyu orcas 550 delivered to me (one was my sisters) and they just left them in the middle of the drive, didn't even knock - that was about £700 worth

BAD DRIVERS!!!!

I really do hate bad drivers. You know the ones, they go 45mph in a 60 zone and 50mph in a 30 zone.

WHY?!?!?

Also, people who brake for no reason. Straight road, within the speed limit, no cars in front of them and then the brake lights come on.

I may suffer with a touch of road rage.....but, if these idiots weren't on the road it would make my life a whole lot easier.

If my postman only would leave things in my shed!! Depending on who's working any given day, I've had packages left out on my front stoop, on top of my mailbox, and once she even carted a package with my assassin snails around with her for an entire day, and it was 40ºF BELOW ZERO!!! (Needless to say, with that particular stunt I contacted the postmaster and

As for bad drivers, we live in a tourist town. They're everywhere!!!
