Ive been recording it into an excel document to make it easy to record.

Cheers

Edit: Doing the add & wait method by the way.

Look like the right direction to me...Obviously your nitrates aren't processing fast enough yet. But if I'm understanding the others correctly then the ammonia is processing in around 12 hours?

Geoff, it could be that people are just either lazy or reluctant to do a thing where you make and ID and download something in order to get your excel sheet and see it. I know there was some fellow here months ago who had some cool sharing service that let you just share a spreadsheet that showed up directly from a link but I can't remember the details. Perhaps theirs some way for you to relatively easily cut/paste your log into a post. --wd--

That sounds like google spreadsheets!

All I did was click and open...I didn't have to create an account or even save it to my computer. To be honest I save very little to this computer (I'm at work at the mo *Shhhh*), I don't save anything to my computer...

Yeah, I think that's what it was...

The only problem is the file still has to be downloaded to be view so in other words even though the file wasnt saved to view at a later time the file itself is still as a download/file on your PC, people are very wary of downloading things even tho i would be quite confident that geoff is honest and wouldnt be malicious in trying to fool anybody but it doesnt mean that someone else / somethink else.... couldnt have infected the file before the download.

Im sceptical on what i download from the internet even if i know the source it came from... always best to be safe than sorry!!!

sorry geoff i still wont download lol but im sure the info others have given from the results is quite accurate ;)

I work for an IT support company. And have about a bazillion files on my computer. All I mean was I wasn't saving it because then I don't have to find and delete... Of course it has to be downloaded to be seen...it's just my understanding is that it is downloaded as a temporary file when you choose to 'open' not 'save'. Not a permanent one, and I have the best anti virus / most up to date that you can get. Another perk of the job...So I can promise you all it's 100% clean.

Yeah, thanks for that, I decided to believe you and opened it and it didn't set off any of our antiV or anything else, so looks to have been fine. Agree with Jen though that you never know, although unfortunately for all of us even all the little thousands of files that make up a days worth of web viewing could harbor the rare nasty we don't want I suppose, so as we say often in IT, just be ready to "rebuild the box" any old time!

So Geoff I must have missed it but you must have used some mature media? Otherwise just very lucky perhaps! Very mature results for only the first week and all looks fine!

Edit: I had some bacteria from my fish-in cycle...

Edit2: There we go...
