Hello I was just wanting to know if anyone has used that Nutrafin Cycle to help cyle your tank? If so I was wondering how fast does it take to cycle your tank with using it? I know on the bottle it says "Allows immediate intorduction of fish" but is that really true? I mean does it mean after using it for 3 day or what? I have already had 6 zebra danio's in the tank for 15 days now and I heard that this stuff could help out with the cycle process so I just wanted some advice from anyone that has had any experience with it. Thanks!

i'd be wary of products like 'cycle', i don't think they really contribute anything to the cycle, you're obviously doing a fish-in cycle anyway so just carry on with that.

As Anwhyte said,

These products really don't have much effect, if any at all.

These cycle products advertise that they contain 'live bacteria' which at some point they probably did, but as learning about they cycle will tell you, bacteria require oxygen and a food source to survive, neither of which these bacteria are getting sat in a bottle on the shelf for weeks/months at a time.

Most of the time these products didnt even contain the right type of bacteria in the first place and are a little bit of a con really, you'd be much better saving your money.

There were a couple that were proven to have a small effect, there was a product called bactinettes which used to be kept in the fridge to prolong shelf life but I'm not sure if this product is even made anymore.

For the small effect that bactinettes made it really wasnt worth spending money on these products.

Among our experiences here in the beginners section, sometimes these "bacteria in a bottle" products have seemed to slow down the cycling experience because they cause the beginner to not be able to interpret the test results that tell progress. The bottles often consist of dead organic material, including lots of nitrite and nitrate. For a fishless cycler, that sends the wrong message that their bacteria are producing it. For the fish-in cycler it sends the message that an immediate water change is needed.

Hello jeepgirl. I have used Cycle in a new tank but I can't say it helped at all with my cycle. It seemed to do absolutely nothing for me.

Thank's everyone for all your advice It sound's like it would be a waste of my money so I will just forget about it. I appreciate all the help.

I used the min bottle I got free with my tank and it didn't seem to have any effect. In fact I had quite along cycle, over 3 months.

Well, it worked fine for me. It got my Ammonia away real fast. It is quite pricey though.
