Anyone Help Re: Sand

right i am 99.9% sure i read on here a thread about play sand ppl use in there tank i think some got it from argos or tescos i cant remember
am i right??
was there a thread??
and is it safe to use with tropical fish??

My search thingy not working so cant hunt for thread and cant find it lol

Yes play sand is perfectly safe to use in tropical tanks, argos, tescos, toysrus etc, just give is a very good clean before adding it to the tank or the tank will be cloudy for a long time.

yes apparently you can get it for £2.50 from argos..

hia Dawn, what fish are in the tank? play sand looks great with the less messy ones,i had it in my oscar tank which didnt go well at all but in a community tank it looks fab with wood,and would deffo recomend it lets see some pics when you ve done it

erm its mainly just full of tetras, platys, neons and 2 plecs - which i have the keep sand clean as it is lol
but its £10 for a really small bag here so thought i would try play sand

i just got a 25k bag of aquatic sand for £13.00 from peter barrets yesterday for my new tank,try there if there is one near you.
