cute little things . if i ever set up another new world tank its deffinately a species i would include

Great. What did they behave like? Were they distructive? Dig/move plants? Eat plants? What would you suggest as tankmates for them in a 125 litre tank?

mine were really well behaved , used to have the odd tiff with my blue acara altho it was more posturing than actual fighting. they never uprooted plants , didnt really dig a whole lot either . as for tankmates in a 125 youre quite limited in terms of cichlids . for smaller fish i had tiger barbs and corys in with mine with no issues . it could make for a nice display . corys for the bottom , tiger barbs will give lots of colour/movement and the jade eyes will be the stars of the show

Yeah not wanting any other cichlids. My innitial thought was to go for Rosy Tetras... but now you have mentions barbs i am thinking black ruby barbs? Already have 2 BN's and some bronze cory's in with them. Oh, and a pair of Rainbow Cichlids, but Mattlee is having them soon hence me wating to start thinking of plants and setup.

yeah rainbow cichlids and plants dont tend to be a good mix lol . if you go with tetras id go with 1 of the deeper bodied species just to be on the safe side . not to up on tetras tho so i dont know if rosy would be suitable or not . how about a group of odessa barbs . ?

Yeah rosies are a bit deeper bodied than say neons. I like odessa barbs, I also like pentazonia barbs... Oh the joys!
