not sure about anyone else but I'm very bored with the ammount of threads titled something along the lines of "look at this tiny tank"

I think we get the idea that companies produce stupidly tiny tanks not suitable for much apart from a brine shrimp!

everytime the same old points and views are brought up.

I think it important to bring these things up so that any newbies out there get educated on proper tank size... and that the stores don't always know about the fish that they sell.

I'm sure you are refering to the post I made yesterday about the tiny Betta-World tanks. I realize that any smart fish keeper would know that is worng, but I just can't believe that these companies are dumb enough to still make these things, and unfortunately, as long as they make them someone will make them and torture the fish they house in them.

I realise there learning curves for beginners but there is a beginners section and with a quick search you can easily turn up pages of "this tank is too small" topics.

I wasn't directly referring to your topic but it helped to trigger my reaction that has been building up.

and there's far more annoying posts like that that don't have any more thought put into them than me stroking the cat.

I think as this hobby continues to impress, we'll have people coming into it, and depending on how deep their pockets are, will find the quickest way to owning a tank of their own.

In cases, to them, it doesn't matter if they do the relevant research or otherwise. That's the reason why I think repeat issues such as this is awlays helpful, and as especially for the ones who decide to do some research on the internet.

Business and businesses will always tailor their products to suit demand. The more 'educated' new hobbyists become to issues such as this, will mean business will be forced to change their products.

Good on you for pointing out this issue.

I agree with you Paul people seem to jus tlike to make posts even though they KNOW that it has been discussed. I think a beginner can get it the first time they see it. Dont just post threads because your bored do them with a purpose and not just to be posting. I think these repetitive threads are useless as well.

Now thats a good idea CTS, that way all the crap tiny tanks can be put together.

Exactly when a beginner comes to research on the internet before they have done much you know if they end up on here there going to get the right information, I don't think they need endless ammounts of tiny tank topics to give them a hint.

i don't read them....there's a new one every few days though.

i swear people search the net desperating looking for the next tiny tank.

Probably. But who cares? As said before, if you don't like it, don't read it. If you don't read it it doesn't affect you. I could complain about the number of 'HELP I JUST GOT A 20 GALLLON TANK AND SOME FISH I THINK THEY ARE A SIAMESE FIGHTING FISH A NEON TETRA AND SOME KIND OF CATFISH THING THE NEON TETRA DIED SO I GOT 7 GUPPIES NOW THERE ARE TOO MANY BABIES AND THE GUPPYS KEEP BEING EATEN HELP!!!!!11' posts. Or that kind of thing when a newb buys a tank, doesn't bother to cycle it and buys a whole load of fish that can no way go in there tank on the instuctions of the LPS.
