It makes me laugh that you instantly think all core bands suck. I'm pretty sure there are some out there you would like.

But you guys should check out the band 3 if you haven't already. Yes, their name is 3. They're good, and they're not a core band.

Just because they have core at the end of the name doesn't mean they suck. I swear it's a trend now to hate trendy music, which is stupid ( and Ironic )

I know talent when I see it, and alot of bands that fall under the "core" category are better then some metal bands I see. I know it's rare, but It's true. I used to be the biggest metal head, and listened to tech bands like Nile, Cynic, Atheist, Gorguts etc etc. and I can still see talent when I hear "Core bands"

To say all core bands suck, without listening to all of them is ignorant. Just listen to into the moat, or between the buried and me, or Animosity.

PS: Metallica hasnt put out anything remotely good since 1988

Hypocrisy much? You were the one that told me you hated Classical Music, and also said you hate all Rap (even though i happen to agree with you on that point)

Yea, sure there probably is a core band that I will like, but I have never heard one, they all sound the same riffs with the same exact screaming (and trust I have heard a lot of core bands)
And I bet there is some core bands that are better than some metal bands, but so far, I haven't found one.

I know how my post could be easily though of as ignorant and such, but all the core bands I have listened all sound exactly the same.....And that really puts me off from them, after you hear the same riff a thousand times (which usually dont sound that good anyway), and the same vocals, you get bored, and don't want to listen to it.
THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO MAKING A CORE SONG, BE IT HARDCORE, METALCORE, MATHCORE, DEATHCORE, ANY KIND OF CORE!!!! "](According to the Core music that I have heard)
1. Play the same powerchord a whole lot, and ever once in a while, play it a half-step higher to "spice it up"
2. When you get to the solo, make sure that it is only about 15 seconds long, and make sure it is all on one string, using only about 3 notes
3. Get a guy who screams alot, tell him to scream
4. Be sure to wear girl pants! (but that applies more to emo)
5. If you happen to accident stumble across a melody while writing a song, make sure it cannot be heard because of the screaming, or, get your other guitarist to play the same powerchord over and over so you cannot hear the melody. If you combine the two, it is even better!
6. Make sure nobody knows what the heck you are screaming about

PS: I know Metallica's new stuff sucks, but Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and the Black Album easily beat all the Core stuff that I have heard. I'd rather listen to the Beatles rather than the Core I've heard. I'd even rather listen to Classical music than Core, but Classical is already awesome so we already knew that.

CORE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!YOU CAN'T DENY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ALSO, READ THE NAME OF THE TOPIC, IT IS CALLED ANYONE A FAN OF METAL, NOT CORE

True, I thought I hated classical music, but then I found some I like.

Metalcore is a sub-gerne of metal. :p

But anyway...

I guess Kiss is somewhat metal, what ever happened to them? No new studio releases since 1998. I know they're still together and that Paul Stanley is on his solo tour right now, but does anyone know why this is?

There's really no specific composers at the moment, but I really like Toccata and Fegue in D Minor, and A Night On Bald Mountain.
