Any tips for weaning baby betta?

They have been raised on microworms and baby brine shrimp, and they are happy, healthy, hungry little beings.
This morning they stuck two fingers up at my Hikari Bio Gold, sucking it in and then spitting it out in a most disdainful fashion. They are definitely hungry and active - do I let them go hungry or do I give in and give them what they want?

Try crushing the pellet into small chunks, soaking it for a few minutes in a pot of their tank water and then shooting it in with a pipette

Never let baby fish starve or they become runts.

Keep feeding brineshrimp and microworms and each day add some of the new food. When they start accepting the new food, add another type of food, and so on.

You can try crushing the new food up into smaller bits and they might find it easier to take. But most fish don't like sudden changes in the texture or taste of their food, which is why you try to feed fish a varied diet, so they learn to eat different sorts of food.

EllRog, I did your things and it has worked! They're even pecking the soggy pellet bis off the (clean) floor of the tank. Colin_T - they are definitely aware that something is different - I think it's because the bits aren't moving. I'll give them a brine shrimp treat before bed
