Hello everyone ive currently been doing a fish cycle as the idiots at maidenhead aquatics told me it would be fine to run my new filter for a week and then swap over completely.
As im new to tropical fish I just listened, ive made a few posts with the problems ive been having but now all the ammonia levels etc seem to be ok. Ammonia 0.1, Nitrite 0.1, Nitrate 0, PH 8,0.

For some reason I havent had a nitrate spike is this normal? I thought each stage is supposed to spike through a cycle. Ive also been treatin white spot with my bluerams while going through this painfull cycle. Ive used waterlife protozin 6day course and just changed to interpet number 6 as they still have whitespot.

My problem now is that after all my readings are coming back fine, my fishes fins are changing to a bronze colour, Guppys, doctorfish, rams and the rainbows but the tetras are fine. Any idea what this is?? One of my guppys has gone toxic yellow colour back end of the body near the tailfin.
Any help please, startin to freak me out!

Posted from mobile, sorry for any grammar mistakes.

The processing of Ammonia produces Nitrites. Processing of Nitrites produces Nitrates. Even tapwater has some Nitrates in it. Since you're in a fish in cycle and your fish don't seem right, I would do a waterchange.
