Any Idea Wot This Fish Is?

i was sold this fish and told it was a 'wild acara' i have searched the the net found nothin on a wild acara. i was also told it would mix with my blue acara and 2 firemouths. any idea wot it realy is?

as said yes its a jack dempsey and it looks alot like my female it can mix with those fish but dipends on tank size and how the fish except each other

the tank is 48 x 18(h) x 12 they seem to be getting on ok at the moment,

i dont think that will be able to house all of them comforably full grown, but you never know. honestly i say get rid of the f.m. and you'll be able to keep the j.d. and acara a bit longer.

I would agree that they may not ba able to live for life. My JD is the only cichlid and he is still a little cranky with the pleco that I have with him. I have tried to introduce him to a female, but he nearly killed her. Of course, hes a male, so he is more aggressive. With your female, she will be better, and depending on the sex of acar and fm's you could be ok. A lot of variables so I guess just feel it out and make sure you have an emergency spot for a fish incase world war III starts (either an extra tank or a friend to take a fish)

well then it would be a good idea to not have fish that may need future rehoming if you have no resource. Always try to think of the welfare or the fish
