Anubias With White Spot

have you got any pics???

I'm also in a really hard water area, however have never got calcium deposits on any leaves. It's normally due to imbalances in C02.

I do but im struggling to get them to work. Does the link in the first post not work?

yeah the pic is working.

How long has the plant been in the aquarium?

It doesn't look like calcium deposits to me. It looks like it's from you substrate. BTW the plants Rhizome needs to be above the substrate.

hmmmm so they are one more than one plant...they could well be then if they wipe off and come back. Is the tank heavily planted? what is the lighting and how big is the tank?

It also builds up on the leaves of a Java Fern I have. The tank is very lightly planted, four anubias and a couple of java ferns. They're only there really to break things up a little. The tank is low light (standard tubes), on a timer for ten hours a day and 120L though once you take gravel, backings, rocks etc in to account I reckon that its probably closer to 100L of actual water.

I know it's not heavily planted, but if you want rid of the white spots, adding some Easycarbo or Flourish excel would sort it out.

Do you think that'll help? Its definately a deposit on the leaves. I just took the plants out and wiped them down with a bit of vinegar and it comes straight off. I was thinking of maybe mixed 70/30 tap water and reverse osmosis.

Calcium deposits come from a breakdown in C02 in hard water areas. Fix the C02 and the deposits should go. Easycarbo should help with this.
