Ant venom kill fishes?

No harming animals but fire ants are insects that bite and sting people and other animals. By killing the fire ants you are helping the other animals.

It's like in India where they don't like harming animals, and heaps of people die from cobra snake bite every year and rats run around during the day spreading diseases that kill people.

yep, just like this

This video was banned in my country for about 5 years now.

We live in a country where you can only get meat from store and not from hunting because we're buddhist/no religion (me) type,
which teach us to NOT kill animal because of karma or something, can't remember exactly.
There are people in the states who feel that way too--hunting is evil, but buying meat from the store is OK--and I've never understood it. If one buys meat from the store, one is still killing an animal; someone else is simply doing the dirty work.

But that's off topic. The point is, fire ants are a dangerous invasive, at least in the states, and the best thing to do is kill them. And now we know that they make bad fish food.

Something you can try with the ants is dishwashing liquid. Squirt a heap of washing up liquid down the ant hole and around the edge. The ants don't like it.
