another tetra identification…

this is one of a group of what was supposed to be rainbow tetra juvinals… most ended up being palmeri… and while this one has green eyes like a female palmeri, it’s black along the top, unlike the other female palmeri… thoughts???

Hello. Have always loved Tetras. My favorite, by far, are the Buenos Aires variety. Large, hardy, pretty aggressive with other fish and beautiful. Had them for years and they were so easy to breed. Gave them to a friend when my wife and I moved. He runs a very successful fish rehomeing business. But, he decided to keep all of them. I had about 40 in a 50 gallon and 55 gallon tank. We put them all together in a heavily planted, 120 gallon, species only tank. They looked fantastic!
