Another Oscar Question

Ok great i was under the impression from a few users that it was somewhat untreatable. I am treating them with Melafix and i have made 2 water changes this week each 25 gallons. This is way off topic i have a fish now a feeder that was bit by the oscars two days ago he lost his tail and half his body but is still kicking just swimming as if nothing happend. I dont know its kinda cruel but hes been eating and swimming like the others.

with HITH you should increase the amount to 50 or 60 gallons instead of the 25. wouldnt waste your money on the melafix when your dealing with HITH. don't get me wrong the melafix will help with the bite that your one oscar suffered but thats about it. but HITH is only fatal if left unchecked.

Ok well the bite is a few lost scales i believe and some open skin parts. I will keep up with this HITH and deal with the catfish as soon as possible. Thanks for all the help.
