Hi all, just registered on here so thought i should introduce myself!

I have been keeping fish on and off for the last 18 years (since i was 6!) and my dad has had them nearly 3times that! (he used to own his own fish shop, think he's where i get it from!)

I have a 45Gallon tropical tank setup with a pretty nice little community.
4 angels,
1 gurami,
3 clown loaches
1 elephant nose
2 corydorus
1 bristlenose pleco
1 ornate catfish
1 ornate bircher
1 tyretrack eel thats grown to over a foot long!
and one little silver thing that i cant remember the name of

technically i'd say there are too many fish in there really. well.. thats what im telling her indoors so i can get another tank!

I'l upload some pics to my photobucket and get them up on here.

Cheers,
Joel!

Welcome to the forum! The Bichir, elephant nose, eel, and clown loaches arent for your tank, im afraid.

hi, what do you mean not for the tank?? the eel and clown loaches have been in there for 3 years and the birchir and elephant nearly a year now. seem to be doing ok!

Joel.

They seem to, but clown loaches get 1 foot long. Bichirs get big and predatory, same as the eel. Elephant noses are specialty fish, and do best in species tanks.

The elephant nose will do much better in a group of +4. So will the clown loaches and cories, a group of +6. I have also found that the angels will get aggressive as they get older. Not trying to discourage you, just lead you to a more peaceful community. :good:
