Hi guys I know not another how long to go thread! Let me tell you about one of my platies. She is very fat, huge. She has been this way since I got her about a few months back. She eats anything and everything and is so greedy!
I just wanted confirmation that she isn't pregnant. The lights off in the tank so I had to take the pics like that but it's better to see her silhouette lol.
Meet hefty helga:
They are both in this pic
I don't know if she is pregnant she has a red gravid spot-hardly noticeable.
This is the other female she has had that spot and belly since I thought she was pregnant the first time round. Then again I do have a fry so it could have been her.
What do you think? Just greedy?

My baby platy is doing great thanks! I released him into the main tank yesterday at about 3 weeks old and he is growing so fast and his fins have darkened! It was the right move because guess what-I found a tiny newborn fry!!! It must have been the silver one that I put in the 2nd set of pics as the yellow ones still as fat as ever! It's only a few mm's long I don't know how I spotted it but i'm glad I did. I just caught it with the turkey baster and put it into the trap. It's tails not formed and it looks like a tadpole. When I found the other baby he was about a weeks old-had all fins and tail but this one looks hours old. I'm so excited but still just the 1 again. Probably a blessing or i'll be over run in no time.
