dang fish are expensive in Chicago....

I have a broker that will give me $2 or $3 for each one, he doubles his price to shops, who generally triple the price they pay.

I live in the Uk (Essex) and my lfs sells young angels (50p size) for £5 each

at my end fullygrown angel fish are advertised for £10 and smaller ones £5 but £10 seems abit expensive £5 would be about right or if babys a couple of pounds each try ebay and local papers like tradeit or even a local petshop window they will soon go

i guess it depends on the availability of angels in the area. i dont see angel prices that high here. its an average £1 or £2 for an adult angel. juveniles go at even lower prices.

Even more so in Milwaukee. I just got back from an auction, & was getting $2 for nickel size smokys. Their shop prices seem to be around 30% above the shops in Chicago.

The value of something is determined by what the purchaser thinks it is worth, and how plentiful they are. I've seen breeding pairs of half blacks or 90% orange koi angels go for that.

i highest i saw was around £60. its was a pair of wild angels. true Pterophyllum scalare they claimed it to be
