Pairs will scuffle from time to time, it's not unusual to see torn fins on breeding pairs. Things like this are the reason anyone dealing with cichlids should have a divider. Pairs can get aggressive for no apparent reason, and have been known to kill their mate.

An actively breeding pair should get a diet heavier in protein, I hope you are feeding something other than flake food & the weekly feeding of bloodworms.

Hi Tolak

I'm feeding flake, frozen bloodworm, frozen tubifex, and now I've got this BBS hatchery going, probably some of them.
Is there anything else you recommend ?

They have more eggs again, this time on a leaf.
