Hi,

how big are Angelfish when they normally start to pair up? I've not noticed much fighting because my apisto chases all of them or it's feeding time and they're all at the front. But recently i've sat away and watched and there definately is a pecking order with the Angelfish, they all stay kind of equal distance away from each other apart from 2 who dont chase each other. is this a pair? There all in a 30G at the moment, and i want to move 3 or all to a 4foot soon, but if there's a pair i may leave those 2 in...its just difficult to know if its a true pair! any tips???

Here is a photo of one of them, some other photos in the album too.

thanks

I would say this will be the most likely pairing you have at the moment. Try doing a water change with water a few degrees cooler than the tank water and see if this accelerates anything like spawning etc.

most of my water cahnges are slightly cooler, because my RO water is kept outside, this is probably what has sparked the apistos to breeding! But the Angels are maybe a bit too young, i read on the net about 10months is a good age, i think mine are 6/7months old.

how did you get the photo to come up in the message?

cheers,
white

When you hover your mouse over the image on the photobucket site click on the link in the bottom box entitles IMG Code. It then copies the link and you paste it into the thread on here and voila! You have your lovely pictures.

I reckon the pair you talk of will have already paired myself. Keep an eye on them. Make sure you add plenty of upright things for them to spawn on. :good:
