In order to get my mating kribs away from the other fish of a similar size and bigger, I've put them into my smaller tank.

This has meant putting my male betta in the big tank where there are 6 angels. I know that this is not normally a good thing to do, however it is a 225l tank with lots of plants, and I know from googling that in some cases it can work.

They've been together for an hour or so with no problem. Can I leave them and go to bed, or would the betta be better with the kribs? I could put him in a floating nursery tank as a temporary solution, apparently they like small spaces.

I wouldn't put him in with Kribs personally but thats just me. Angels will be ok until you can sort something else out. Let me know how you get on.

If you're really stuck for tanks then I reckon the angel tank is the lesser of two evils if it's well planted. Just keep an eye on things.

If you need to use the breeding net then do. Alternatively just split the kribs up. They wont be a mating pair if they aren't a pair. So maybe put the female with the betta and the male back in the main tank.

Just one thing though. Bettas don't 'like' small spaces. But they can deal with/adapt to them.
