hi, i have a 180litre tropical aquarium with the following fish:
8 lemon tetras, 8 gold barbs, 6 mollies, 2 guppies, 2 leapard danios, 8 zebra danios
i want to some angel fish, but not sure what fish to remove
i plan on having 2 angel fish or more if possible

please reply and thanks in advance

Angel Fish eat neon tetras and anything of that size. That means you shouldn't have guppies with it and maybe not even any of the danios.

Danios and Gold Barbs can both be quite nippy, so may or may not work with your Angels. Danios are also very active whereas the Angels are more peaceful so may cause a little disharmony in the tank.
You have a fair sized tank, so it may work out for you.
It's a case of trial and error, I'm afraid. Try putting the Angels in but keep a close eye on them, any signs of nipping and you may have to rehome some of them.

thanks for all ur advice!! :good:

so i will remove the zebra danios, gold barbs, guppys,
and be left with: 8lemon tetras, 6mollies, and then the 6juevenille angel fish (which later i'll remove 4, after they pair up)
should i remove the leopard danio
and could i add more fish, if so what could i add?

Leopard Danios can also be a little nippy and are best kept in groups of 6+, so might be worth rehoming them too.
To be honest, your Guppies should be fine in there although any fry may get eaten. The main reason Angels eat Neon Tetras is because it's their natural diet in the wild.
You are best adding the Angels before deciding what else to add. I always add a group of fish, give them a few days to settle in and then decide what to add next. Doing it this way, I can watch the behaviour and get a good idea of what size, colour, temperament etc. of fish would go well with the current stocking.
Hope that makes sense!

actualy, what if i add the angel fish to my 180litre aquarium with the other fish, the angels are only small, would my tank be ok or would it be overstocked
8 lemon tetras, 8 gold barbs, 6 mollies, 2 guppies, 2 leapard danios, 8 zebra danios + 6small angelfish

i asked the man at the aquarium shop and he siad they should be fine cuz the angels are small but would the other fish still bother the angels?
