Ok here's the story, i bought an angel fish about 3 years ago, she is now got 90% of her scales gone, and just fed and she won't eat, will eat frozen though. She will either stay on one corner and then slowly turn upside down, and the fliter flow catches her and spins her out of control. This action has been like this for the last week. I have a 55gl just did a partial change yesterday after 5mnths, no chemicals or new fish added, tank mates are 80 female beta's( my parents raised them), 5 gold barbs, 2 plecto's and blk skirt tetra. I've always had good luck with tanks and never had to change the PH, i think she is just old? Here is a video of what she is doing, let me know if i should dispatch her.

Do you mean that you've haven't done a water change for five months, or am I misunderstanding....

Hope this is some sort of missunderstanding, but did you mean you havent performed a WC in 5 months????

Your tank sounds a bit overstocked also!

I can only pray this is a poor attempt at homour, angel fish will live in the right environment for 10+ years. Sorry if I sound a bit mean but surely you must be having a laugh.

Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
You have 80 females betta in the tank is this correct.

Once the spin and upside down the fish is suffering.

Ok apparently i do things differently, some people have very high end elaberate fish tanks, i check the PH but don't check the ammonia etc, sorry if the tank seems overstocked, my folks were going to get rid of the fish in a inhumane way,so i took them aboard, May 25th was the last full cleaning. Partial changes each month from there till now. Well ill just dispatch the angel and move about my way, my betta's have been doing fine, apparently i don't need to keep up on the ammonia etc, thnks anyways, im done here

Ammonia and nitrite do alot of damage to fish it burns there skin and gills and causes internal damage.
You need to invest in some lquid test kits.
You are meant to do a gravel vac and a water change once a week.
If you can't look after the fish the way they should you maybe should think of rehoming them.
Has the angel passed on now.

yes the angel is now gone.I didn't mean to start anything negative, but when there is waste i use the python several times a month to keep the surface clean and of course replace the water, I've also had no deaths in what seem to be over crowded tank the beta count is in the 60's and not the 80's and along with the rest of the fish, all are doing fine, the gold barb tetras are even being frisky to eachother(spawning) and all is well. I keep my filters clean constantly as i know snails are appearing there once again. Thanks for any advice and hope to learn more here.

R.I.P. Bless him.
You will learn loads on here if you stick around.
