anyone recomend when it would be wise to split the fry from the parents(i leave the eggs & fry with the parents, leave it to nature kind of thing) the parents have 1 lot of fry that are about 3 week old, then out of the blue they have dropped another lot of eggs on the side of the tank,so do i leave the young fry with parents or remove them??

well if theyve laid another batch i would be inclined to remove them because id imagine the parents will see them as a threat and start to kill them off,,,hows the tank?just angels?what filter do you have?

firstly the parents don't seem bothered by the babies as they have been right next to the parent while they were tending to the eggs, they are in a 30"X15"x12" running a home made sponge filter the only other fish in there are a few juvie bristle nose plecs, the tanks is planted with gravel layer at the bottom.

thanks, reason i asked my angels keep breeding and i get to the second day of free swimming and they all go,,,parents are amazing with them until lights out, i have 2 female/2male,1 platy 1 clown plec and the filter is a jewel internal filter<think this is the reason, thanks i think i might have to get the sponge filter :good: good luck,,its only because i read when they spawn again its better to remove because they will start to pick off the old fish

might be worth you putting the pair in a tank on there own,you only need about an 18" cube, could be the others eating the fry,it took my pair 4 attempts to get to the fry free swimming, and each time i have left the eggs in the tank,
