Hi Everyone (again)

I though i'd start another post rather than adding the cycle log to my "help and advice post" to keep on topic

Log (n/t = not tested):

30th July. Tank started (Juwel 125), filled with water and live plants added, JBL plant substrate on base of tank, gravel and JBL Co2 system installed. No readings.

1st Aug. Ammonia 3ppm, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 0, Ph between 7 & 8, Temp 26oC. Comments: Ammonia added for the 1st time and tested. Reading after 3 hours 3.0ppm. additional ammonia added but not retested

3rd Aug. Ammonua 3ppm, Nitrite n/t, Nitrate n/t, Ph between 7 & 8, Temp 26oC. Comments: Added reflectors to aquarium lights and 30ml plant feed (as per directions)

6th Aug Ammonia n/t, Nitrite n/t, Nitrate n/t, Ph between 7.0 and 7.5, Temp 26oC. Comments: tap water tested and ph level bang on 7.0

9th Aug Ammonia between 1.5 mg/l and 3.0 mg/l, Nitrite <0.3 mg/l Nitrate n/t, Ph between 7.0 and 7.5, Temp 26oC. Comments: I think the live plants are consuming some of the ammonia as there is no sign of Nitrites. Alge growing on bmack on tank and over 1" of growth on some of the plants from original planting. Going to add another 5ml of ammonia and retest tomorrow.
