An Exciting Addition

At the moment i have a 10 gallon tank with 2 honey gouramis and 2 kuhlis and a BN pleco( 3 but i cleaned out the tank today and there was no sign of it :L ) i am thinking of adding something nice and colourful or some schooling fish But i really do not know what to add i was thinking of some nice coloured guppies but then i thought that really the males are the only good looking ones so maybe a fish that could breed easily too

P.S. i also have a 55 gallon tank but that is still in fishless cycle, im hoping to put an oscar in this. Would that be okay? also would it be able to have many tank mates?

With the fish you have in your 10 gal you're near/at your limit,so you will be pushing it to add more...

I may be wrong but i think a oscar will probably out grow a 55 gal

With the oscar i dont know either xD
i have always wanted one since i was little, the 55 gallon is 4 foot long ... if i can only have one oscar with no other little tank mates i would be happy! :L

some people will say a 55 is ok for a single oscar with no tankmates . with excellent filtration and dedication to maintainence it can be done but its not ideal. usually the agreed minfor a single adult oscar is 75g

hmmm ... maybe i wont get an oscar
could i get convict cichlids ( also another fish i have always wanted)and put them with firemouthes?
also do you know any compatabilities for the convicts as they are quite an agressive fish
