Amonia

I found some "clear" amonia in the store this morning. When I shook the bottle about an inch of foam appeared. I flipped the bottle over and then back again. The foam disappeared immediately. In reading the ingridents all that was listed was amonia and soft water.

Any ideas if this is safe or not?

Are you needing it for a fishless cycle? If so, it should be okay. I personally do not do a fishless cycle but a lot of other people do. Do some research on it but to the best of my knowledge, you'll need some sort of ammonia to get the cycle going...

Yep, it's safe. Even the ammonia that has chelating agents is safe to use (chelating agents are used to bind some metals). The ones that are not safe are those that contain perfumes or dyes.
