I recently tested my tap water just out of curiosity, and I found out that my untreated tap water has an ammonia level of 1ppm. Does anyone else have this issue? I treat my tap water with prime before I add to my tanks after a water change but my concern is that I am still putting ammonia into my tank. Any advice?

Had this last year, but there there are no ammonia readings now in the tap water.

yep confused me when i was testing tank water, then someone said check my tap water and it showed for low levels of ammonia. was about 3 months ago, havnt noticed it for a bit.

Good that there is nothing to worry about. Even though I am adding it to my tank (treated of course) the ammonia free water of the tank should dilute it to safe levels, correct?

Its normal for the US, but in the UK report it to your provider, good chance of cracked pipes.
