So I have another thread about my tank with a .25ppm level. So I went and tested the water from the tap and it has a .25 ppm level. Is there something that I should be doing to the tap water from now on when I do my water changes? My nitrites are at 0 and my nitrates is at 0 but never goes above 5 ppm. Thanks for the help!

My tap water is the same. It really shouldn't be an issue once the biofilter is in place... If you are concerned about it, you could use Prime or Stress Coat as your dechlorinator. That would make the ammonia less toxic, until the bacteria can deal with it.

I have about 1 ppm of ammonia in my tap water. A few hours after a water change, I can't find any ammonia in the tank water, no matter how large the water change. I do use Prime for water changes to protect the fish until the ammonia can be converted by my filters.
